Academics

Along with all other CMS schools, we follow the EL Curriculum for literacy core instruction and the Illustrative Mathematics curriculum for math core instruction. The majority of our literacy teachers  are trained in both LETRS and Orton Gillingham, making them highly effective in understanding the science of reading and how this impacts student development. We have dedicated teacher assistants who work with small groups in K-2, both a reading and math interventionist, and literacy and math instructional coaches who work with our students and teachers. We are proud to partner with the Augustine Literacy Project and Heart Math Tutoring, who both provide in-school tutoring to continue to reach the needs of all of our students. At ETES, we work hard to make learning fun and pride ourselves in centering student engagement!
